Another song of mine. Well, actually it's a co-written music.
Allen and I wrote this piece of song at my house within 2 hours. It's kinda easy going song. Enjoy.

David Chin
David Chin

Verse 1

Verse 2

Bridge

Chorus

Training

*sigh* Today I'm supposed to be on holiday. But then it's working day for my company. So sad that as a Terengganu boy, I can't have a holiday on the King Coronation Day.

Anyhow, today I went for a training at Menara Olympia. The training is about Principles of Business Improvements. It talks about the proven methodology to properly lay out your improve plans. It's a one whole day training. It's kinda fun training. Lots of hands on.

Get to meet all sorts of people from different working environment. Some I don't like, some can work with, and some can't. Some just keep on talking crap but not contributing to the whole discussion (not the facilitators of course). It's weird that there are this kind people at this age but still think like kindergarten kid. (Maybe it's just my ego, I don't like to waste my time having a meeting that's not fruitful). Some just flow along, some still blur blur don't know what the discussion is all about and just basically repeating what have been just said and some just come for the sake of coming.

In the end, I need to step in taking over the leadership role and get the group at the very least come out with something valid and useful. If not, the whole group will not go anywhere. Managing a group of people is not easy, especially there are people who don't willing to learn and stubborn and arrogant.

Anyhow, enough said. The lunch provided is good :-). Forgot to take a pic on the food. The facilitators are good, very helpful throughout the sessions. Lots of hands on during the training for us to get a better understanding on the theories.

Speaking on training, I think the education system in Malaysia definitely have to change. Currently, our education system is more like a "knowledge based" system, in which a person with very good memories will surely excel in their exams and studies. However, how many of them really understand the theory behind their lessons, or the application of it, how to apply the knowledge and etc. I'm not surprised that lots of university graduates nowadays facing difficulties to find jobs because they lack of substance although they score good grades. IMHO, just stressing on the knowledge is not enough. You need to have something extra which is not taught from books, for example : critical and creative thinking, social skills, extra skills, communication skills and etc if you really want to survive in the working world.

If I'd really want to comment, I'd say Malaysian education system is a failure. You can say that there are outstanding peoples out there but I'd like to counter your claim by asking "What's the ratio between these outstanding people to the other graduates? Is it 1 to 1? Is it 1 in a 1000? or 1 in a million? Think about it.

2 pics for the day.... :)

Just an update on the previous Toe Tragedy post.

Just went to a clinic for a minor surgery. It seems like the blood has pushed my toe nail causing tension and clot. So the doctor suggested 3 methods.

1. Remove the toe nail and clean up the blood clots.
2. Poke 2 needle in to take the blood out.
3. Take painkiller and let time do their work.

Obviously I opted for the best solution, to remove the toe nail and clean up the blood clots.

And so, I got my toe nail removed. It was damn painful. So right now I have to avoid getting my toe wet, everyday need to go back to the clinic for dressing, follow my brother to work and etc.

Thank you for those who cared for me.a

Toe Tragedy

Yesterday just before I was going for jamming, the bag carrying my multi effector dropped on my toe. It was damn painful. The toe now currently suffering from internal bleeding inside the nail and I'm currently have difficulty walking because it's painful.

Hope that the pain will go off as soon as possible.

Here are the pics :

PJ Hilton

Last Friday, my supervisor treated our whole team on behalf of the company to the PJ Hilton for a buffet dinner.

The place is cozy and the selection is not bad. There are western, Thai, local, Indian food. Lots of choices. So I just keep on eating and eating and eating and eating.

Okay, enough said. Let the picture do the talking. Mind you that I'm using a cheap phone to take the pics. So some pic was blur and I have no choice but to remove it.

Enjoy....

Tornado

I just came back from Midvalley GSC to catch a midnight movie with my fellow church members from GEPC. Initially, we wanted to watch Wild Hogs but the show don't have enough seats to cater for 11 of us. So we have to opt for the movie TORNADO.

Just by way of an introduction of the movie. (Quoted from GSC website)

*********************************************************
TORNADO

Berlin is struck by an unusual series of storms and hail stones. In the middle of this unusual phenomenon is a meteorologist named John who has recently returned from studying tornadoes in Oklahoma, in the United States. He returns home to find his ex-girlfriend, a doctor named Eva, going out with his best friend, Bruno, also a meteorologist. Bruno has taken his place as his father's assistant. John has a knack for weather prediction and he learns that a tornado is about to hit Berlin. Together with Eva, he must convince his father to sound the warning for the people of Berlin to stay clear of the path of the oncoming tornado.

*********************************************************

Before we went into the hall, we just realized that it's a German movie with English subs. The film starts with some flashy flashback of scenes with tornado hitting a city in an old film fashion (blurry scenes, webcam quality kind of scene if you get what I mean) followed by a scene of hail storm and then a tornado appeared and ONE was killed. The movie was actually in ENGLISH instead of the German language (Wow... They had English voiceovers. How considerate of them....)

However, after some time, I find the movie very boring. In fact, Bernard and Rodd and some other friends fell asleep half way or rather not long after the movie started. The movie looked like were shot from a webcam or a video phone which has very lousy picture quality compared to other box office movies we normally see in cinema. It's very blurry. Nothing noteworthy of the actors' acting, lack of feel. The voiceovers suck and the script is bad. I think it'd be better they leave the audio language untouched and put an English subs instead. Their effort of combining elements of love, relationship and disaster somehow failed and caused the whole plot of the story to be somehow scattered, no climax, no substance.

In a nutshell, I don't recommend this movie. If I were to rate between 1 (worst) to 10 (best), I'd say 2, which comprises of 1 point for the effort they put into the special effects and 1 point with a scene where a girl was running away from the tornado in a bikini swimsuit.... hmmm..... but I have to minus 0.5 because the girl looks awful. So that makes the rating 1.5 out of 10.

I'd prefer the 1995 movie "Twister" to this movie.

RUN

What I'm going to introduce here is a song written by me and another friend of mine. This is my first official song. This is the song that's played in the VIDEO DOTS section. However, this is the bigger video version.

My interpretation of the song is it talks about our life being surrounded our daily worries and chores until we forget about our true self. Often we're so occupied with work and small matters until we've neglected our dream, our origin and our real purpose in life. Sometimes, I think we should really go out alone, leaving all worries behind and reflect upon what we really want.

Hope you guys will enjoy this song as much as I do.

p/s : I'm the one playing the red guitar.

RUN
David Chin

Verse 1

Pre-Chorus

Chorus

Verse 2

Was browsing through my phone's Gallery and saw the pics I took when I was having dinner with my housemates at PJ SS14 Sushi King.

Recently, Sushi King was having a RM2 promotion on their rice based sushi. As a fan of japanese culture, how could I miss this chance?????

And so we went to the PJ SS14 Sushi King and there was already a huge crowd queuing waiting for their turn. And so we went and joined in the crowd and registered my name in the waiting list. Phew, we waited for close to 30 minutes before we managed to sit down in front of the kaiten.
Without hesitation, I grabbed a sauce plate and flooded the sauce plate with the sweet soy sauce and started to behave like an octopus.

Round 1...........

What I like about Sushi King is their Sweet Soy Sauce. I can't find it in Genki or other Sushi bar.... yet. Plus, they have a huge variety of sushi selections.

Manage to have a lot of sushi that I normally can't afford to eat, like Unagi Sushi, Prawn Tempura Sushi, Salmon Sushi, Scallop Sushi and etc.

The end of battle .......

That's where all the sushi went.

By the way, any idea whether are there any plural terms for sushi ??? Sushis ? I'm having a hard time writing here....

Hi all,

This is my first inaugural post at blogspot.
Recently met a friend from the net, Robb. Sort of a fan of his blog now. Check out his blog.
His blog inspired me to create my own blog. So here I am with my own blog here.

Why pick "Little Gray Dots" ?
Obviouly I wanted to pick dctw.blogspot.com, because dctw is my initials. But the account was taken by someone else.

dctw = Dirty Crappy Topsy Wired news heh.......

So back to the question why "Little Gray Dots"?

On our monitor, the graphics that we see comprises of little tiny dots, called "Pixel". A collection of these pixels forms a graphic. Hence forming something that is viewable. So that would mean "Graphics from a monitor", which implies something that's virtual -> Blog, a virtual diary.

Why choose the color gray?

Well, I started using the PC quite young. I guess around 9 years old. Back then, we don't have graphical OS like Windows XP that we use nowadays. We only used DOS. DOS only has a black screen with a grey characters. So it's kinda tribute to the early OS. And Gray happens to be one of my favorite colors. and I have a band called "GrayAtmosphere".

So, thank you for dropping by. Hopefully I'll blog often.

Regards,
David
